    Playing for Keeps was delivered via podcast in audio and PDF form and is now available in print from Swarm Press. It tells the story of Keepsie Branson, a bar owner in the shining metropolis of Seventh City: birthplace of super powers. Keepsie and her friends live among egotistical heroes and manipulative villains, and manage to fall directly in the middle as people with powers, but who just aren't strong enough to make a difference. Or that's what they've been told. As the city begins to melt down, it's hard to tell who are the good guys and who are the bad.

  • What is a podcast?

    A podcast is a form of Internet distribution of digital media (audio, text, video, etc) - you subscribe using one of a number of tools (iTunes is a popular one) and the content is delivered to you. This podcast has audio and PDF content, and occasional video.

Playing For Keeps launches!

Here it is. August 25. This is the day I need you to go to Amazon and purchase Playing For Keeps- you’re all doing it at once so we can attract the interest of people who perhaps do not listen to podcasts, or read blogs. This is the last move to attract other readers.

    Any special time today? I’m in Central Time Zone and will purchase the book after I get to work today. Loved the podcast and buying the book so my wife will read it. She doesn’t do the audio format, must sit in the sun and read the dead trees. Best of luck today!!!

    A) it looks like it’s into the #350 range on Amazon US
    B) I couldn’t wait another hour (due to meetings at work) so I ordered my two copies just now (now to decide which friend I give the extra one to :D).
    C) Amazon has a “read it now online” feature that they offered me with another of the books I purchased (cost me an extra $1.80 and as it was a resource for a non-fic project totally worth it)… is there anyway you could get in on that deal?

    Oh, and for those interested… you can see beyond the first 100 best sellers on amazon by changing two things in the URL:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/books/ref=pd_ts_pg_14?ie=UTF8&pg=14

    That one should get PFK as it stands now, change the 14s to something else to get further up in the rankings.

    I bought mine before I left for work , already out of stock; just checked it and it’s 348 overall (from 1887 when I placed my order), #2 in action/adventure, and #6 in science fiction, and the day has just started - congratulations, Mur!

    The mighty FDO said it would be good so I ordered two copies. Temporarily out of stock but I’m assuming they are being printed as Amazon said they would email me an approximate date. Can’t wait to read the whole book as I’ve only read the 1st chapter of the PDF copy. Congrats!
