    Playing for Keeps was delivered via podcast in audio and PDF form and is now available in print from Swarm Press. It tells the story of Keepsie Branson, a bar owner in the shining metropolis of Seventh City: birthplace of super powers. Keepsie and her friends live among egotistical heroes and manipulative villains, and manage to fall directly in the middle as people with powers, but who just aren't strong enough to make a difference. Or that's what they've been told. As the city begins to melt down, it's hard to tell who are the good guys and who are the bad.

DK Thompson is a writer I met at Viable Paradise, a great guy, and contributor to several magazine markets. He is currently podcasting his superhero novel, The Unbelievable Origins of Superspiff and the Toothpick Kid. He stretches his superhero wings - I think that’s a mixed metaphor, sorry - on this tale in Seventh City, The Cockroach’s Bite.

    that’s a great take on the story, reminds me of the interviews that were done in interview with a Vampire and almost famous. This stories allow you to easily “punch through the page” rather than just reading the story it makes you a part of it

    PS - when i listened to it the through my i-tunes - the music came up really loud and I had some trouble listening to your voice, plus it kinda scared me
