    Playing for Keeps was delivered via podcast in audio and PDF form and will be available in print from Swarm Press August 25. It tells the story of Keepsie Branson, a bar owner in the shining metropolis of Seventh City: birthplace of super powers. Keepsie and her friends live among egotistical heroes and manipulative villains, and manage to fall directly in the middle as people with powers, but who just aren't strong enough to make a difference. Or that's what they've been told. As the city begins to melt down, it's hard to tell who are the good guys and who are the bad.

Keepsie Keepsie is our hero, the owner of Keepsie’s Bar.

Academy Power Rating: 2 (Low) - Third Wave

Power: Nothing she owns can be taken from her.
Peter Peter is Keepsie’s regular customer.

Power: Discovering information about people by smelling them.
Ian Ian is Keepsie’s regular customer.

Academy Power Rating: 5 (Medium) - Third Wave

Power: Ian is considered one of the strongest Third Wave citizens but his powers, spewing feces from his hands at great force, were considered too disgusting for Academy work.
White Lightning White Lightning is the newest Academy hero, a definite hotshot.

Academy Power Rating: 7 (Very Strong) - Hero

Powers: Super strength, flight, weather control.

Tattoo Devil Tattoo Devil is an Academy Hero.

Academy Power Rating: 6 (Strong) - Hero

Powers: His tattoos can come alive, exit his body, and fight, spy, or do other tasks for him.
The Librarian The Librarian is an Academy Hero.

Academy Power Rating: 5 (Medium) - Hero

Powers: Super memory and super research.
Clever Jack Clever Jack is a villain.

Academy Power Rating: 8 (Very Strong) - Hero Villain

Powers: Clever Jack has luck on his side, incredible luck, making him hit nearly every target. He also has an Everyman sort of power, with the ability to blend into crowds.

Doodad Doodad is a villain.

Academy Power Rating: 7 (Very Strong) - Hero Villain

Powers: Ability to create automatons of any available metal.

Doodad Seismic Stan was the first villain.

Academy Power Rating: 7 (Very Strong) - Hero Villain

Powers: Stan can control the earth, including making the ground like water and causing earthquakes.
